Scope/Description:

• Guyed and self-supporting steel lattice towers
• Single circuit, 804 AACSR conductor and OPGW
• Steel grillage, surface rock, and spread footing foundations
• ROW preparation: access construction, permanent bridge installation, and environmental and construction matting
• Structure erection by helicopter and conventional crane

Highlight:

A major challenge for this project was construction through long sections of deep bog, Canadian Shield ground conditions, and environmental restrictions through Bay du Nord Wilderness Reserve.
